Varo's Banking Analytics team, using its financial expertise in consumer banking and payments, is responsible for providing advanced quantitative analysis and a strategic but also actionable perspective on our customers and products. From optimizing the customer onboarding to uncovering drivers to further deepen customer engagement, the wider banking analytics team focuses on delivering meaningful insights from data across the customer lifecycle. As a pivotal member of this team, you will partner with colleagues across product, marketing, engineering, finance, and operations to understand and analyze data from all parts of Varo's business to help improve our products and experiences backed by relevant insights. \n What you'll be doingConduct data analysis, using advanced analytical and statistical approaches, to make business recommendations. Be impact-focused and demonstrate high bias to actionDevelop a deep understanding of banking and commercial data and share insights around the key metrics that drive the companyDeep dive into unit economics of the business and understand drivers of profitability, with the ability to zoom in or out as needed. Analysis areas might include (but not limited to): commercial analytics, product feature analysis, forecasting, and experimentationLeverage forecasting and financial modeling to predict trends in transactional volume and other key financial KPIs Work with Finance, Product, and other teams to produce analysis for critical initiatives as well as new business or product opportunities. Effectively communicate key findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholdersCreate & automate reports, iteratively build & prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for business priorities You'll bring the following required skills and experiences4+ years of experience in an analytical role providing business analysis, developing dashboards, and presenting results to leadershipExpert in SQL (4+ years). Proficiency in Tableau (or other BI tools) and day-to-day use of R/Python is a big plusExperience partnering with business units, articulating business questions, scripting with SQL/Python to pull data from datasets, and using quantitative techniques to solve complex problemsExperience with experimentation, product analytics, measuring ROI of initiatives, and automating dashboards and reports to track business performanceExperience with financial modeling in banking/fintech is a big plus. Track record of successfully communicating data-driven insightsSolid understanding of statistical analysisExceptional problem-solving skills and business judgmentAbility to get things done and work independently and a high bias for action.
