Summary $15K Sign On Bonus Opportunity
Position Summary: Orients, trains, and provides technical and administrative guidance to assigned personnel and department.
Performs Ultrasound procedures at a safe and experienced level without direct supervision.
Provides excellent customer support by providing the best service possible.
Departmental Support:Coordinates assistance to the department with respect to daily operations.
Tasks: Cleans and maintains equipment according to departmental procedures; performs minor repairs; advises appropriate staff members of inoperable equipment
Provides technical assistance to new technologists and students regarding procedures, departmental standards/protocols, etc.
; may advise physician and professional staff on proper protocols for imaging procedure.
Selects appropriate protocol for each ultrasound scan procedure based on computer software, integration with PACS and the prescence of pathology;ensures proper levels of density and contrast are utilized to obtain an optimal quality image and calculations
Fosters an environment for continuous performance improvement and team support
Maintains inventory and stocks supplies in assigned area.
Ensures stock levels are maintained and are appropriate.
Attends departmental in-service and meetings as required
May transport patients to and from imaging area Sr Diagnostic Med Sonographer
Utilizes PACS/RIS sytstem to problem solve any imaging issues when necessary Participates in holiday shift coverage as required
Qualifications/Requirements
Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
Education/Knowledge:
Experience: 3-5 years
Certifications:
American Heart Association CPR Certification
ARDMS
RVT Certification
