Position Summary
Directing activities that enhance the overall financial, clinical and administrative functions within the ambulatory operation within the MFA.
In collaboration with the Executive Directors, Physician and APP leaders, this individual will provide the leadership necessary to optimize practice performance and assist with infrastructure support needed for future development.
This individual will have responsibility for collaborating with department leadership in developing, implementing and monitoring system-wide and department based initiatives that align to our commitment to service excellence.
This individual will also have responsibility for partnering with other leaders to drive standards, policies and procedures while ensuring efficient and effective utilization of infrastructure and resources to meet budgetary goals.
Responsibilities:
Leads the development of standard operating procedures to reduce variation and enhance operational and financial performance of MFA.
Provides leadership in the development of a customer service driven mindset, recognizing the importance of a user friendly organization; cultivates and maintains a positive interpersonal relationship with all staff.
Directs the activities of administrative and professional support personnel to meet overall goals and objectives of the department.
Coordinates with physicians, APPs, and administrative leaders to ensure that there is necessary clinical and administrative support to meet operational and financial goals.
Assist in various financial management activities including the monitoring of annual operating and capital budgets; performance against the budget on a monthly basis, taking corrective action as necessary.
Ensures MFA is operationally compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Participates in the development and support of marketing/business development efforts as required to support ambulatory growth and advancement.
Provides leadership in the development of a patient centric division, recognizing the importance of a user friendly organization; cultivates and maintains a collaborative relationship with all staff.
Leads and coordinates routine rounds within departments and divisions to identify opportunities for recognition and improvement.
Collaborates with MFA group administrators in the development and implementation of standardized guidelines for practice across the MFA in support of creating a true unified faculty practice; participates in various MFA committees.
Acts as a liaison with administrative personnel of other academic departments, the Medical Faculty Associates, and outside entities.
Conducts special projects requiring in-depth attention on a timely basis.
Assists with ensuring compliance with MFA, Hospital, and University administrative procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
A Master's degree in health care administration or related business field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, is necessary.
Experience
A minimum of ten years of health care management experience, including accounting/financial experience in the healthcare environment for at least three years, is necessary.

Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to constantly stand, walk, reach outward, and apply manual dexterity in an office setting.
Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull over 100 lbs.
