About the Growth Team The Growth Marketing Team leads CookUnity's mission to acquire new customers, deliver an exceptional experience that converts them, and reactivate former and lapsed customers across a variety of channels. Our ambitions extend far beyond expanding audiences, increasing traffic, and improving conversion rates while keeping CAC low. About the Role: Our ideal candidate will lead a product-led growth strategy to scale customer acquisition by leveraging both digital and offline experiences. As the Sr. Director of Growth Product, you will be responsible for driving user acquisition and activation across CookUnity's key customer segments by creating product-driven growth loops that naturally integrate into the user experience, ensuring efficient CACs, optimal onboarding experience and high customer retention.
In this role, you will harness data and insights to fuel growth, developing a roadmap rooted in user behavior, engagement, and product interactions. You will oversee a cross-functional team, encompassing first impressions, funnel, and activation. The focus will be on scaling product adoption by integrating growth tactics directly into the customer journey and iterating quickly through experimentation.
CookUnity's unique value proposition—high-quality, chef-driven meals with unmatched variety—will serve as a foundation for your growth efforts. You'll create and optimize marketing funnels that are tightly aligned with product features and customer segments, engaging food enthusiasts who are seeking a superior dining experience. Through experimentation frameworks, you will drive supply-demand optimization, testing different content approaches and crafting numerous personalized landing pages to meet the needs of diverse customer groups.
Your customer-centric mindset will allow you to translate marketing performance data into actionable insights, driving continuous product improvements and growth. This role reports directly to the SVP of Growth and requires close collaboration with teams across CRM, Performance Creative, Branding, and cross-functional partnerships with Product, Tech, and Design.
Responsibilities: Lead a product-led growth strategy to scale customer acquisition, focusing on landing optimization, funnel building, and onboarding new trial customers. Strategically guide new customers from their first interaction through their first delivery, driving conversion and loyalty. Optimize the entire customer journey, focusing on seamless and personalized experiences that showcase the value of CookUnity's chef-driven meals. Shape and execute performance marketing strategies that prioritize customer experience and long-term growth. Design, manage, and optimize landing pages and conversion funnels to drive higher engagement and onboarding success. Develop and implement onboarding processes that guide trial users through a smooth first delivery, enhancing customer satisfaction and retention. Use data-driven insights to create experimentation frameworks that continuously refine product adoption and customer engagement. Manage budgets efficiently to drive sustainable, high-quality growth, ensuring a balance between customer acquisition and long-term value. Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing in-house team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Collaborate closely with CRM, Product, Tech, and Design teams to ensure marketing efforts align with the broader product vision. Requirements: 14+ years of relevant work experience in online DTC marketing with high-growth consumer-facing companies. A Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record and/or proven relevant experience in a performance marketing or highly commercial role. Hands-on experience launching and optimizing platform performance from Meta to Google ad products. Outstanding understanding in a marketing or tech-related subject (e.g., AdTech, Data Science, Engineering, economics, marketing, business). Ability to generate solutions from deconstructing problems derived from qualitative and quantitative marketing challenges. Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks simultaneously and structure priorities to maximize business impact. Proven ability to lead and manage innovative and effective marketing programs that generate results across all major digital and offline marketing channels. Extremely analytical and data-driven marketer who can manage various channels, drive traffic and transactions. Excellent leadership skills that help attract and develop outstanding marketing talent. Experience in managing large marketing budgets. Personal Traits: Entrepreneurial with a high level of energy and an unrelenting drive to succeed.
