Sr. Director Of Investor Relations And Corporate Development

The Senior Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Development will be primarily responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Biomea's Investor Relations strategy and programs. The key components of this role include engaging with the investment community, partnering with senior management, preparing materials and support for various IR communications and events, and analyzing and monitoring analyst reporting and models, peer group and shareholders. The Senior Director will also be responsible for partnering with the broader Biomea organization to conduct commercial and analytical assessments of and provide transactional support for corporate development opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities: Develop and execute investor relations strategy: Collaborate with leadership to create and implement a comprehensive IR plan that effectively communicates the company's investment thesis, progress, and milestones to current and potential investors.Create compelling investor communications: Develop and maintain high-quality investor materials, including corporate presentations, press releases, key messaging, website content, etc. Ensure materials are clear, accurate, and engaging for a variety of audiences.Manage investor relations activities: Coordinate meetings with investors and sell-side analysts, investor conferences, roadshows, conference calls, etc. Address investor questions and requests for information in a timely and professional manner.Monitor the investment community: Track analyst reports, analyst models, investor sentiment, and market trends to provide valuable insights to the company's leadership team.Maintain a strong understanding of the company's pipeline: Develop a deep understanding of the company's science and clinical development programs. Be able to articulate the company's research and development strategy clearly and concisely to investors.Conduct market research and competitive analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging drug candidates, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.Assist in SEC filings: Collaborate with the Finance team in the preparation and review of SEC filings and other company reports, including annual reports (10-K), quarterly reports (10-Q), current reports (8-K), and proxy statements.Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in sciences, finance, business, communications or related field; MBA a plus.Minimum 8 years of previous life sciences investor relations experience either with a public company or an investor relations agency reporting to C-level management; direct work experience in the investment community on the buy or sell side a plus.Strategic thinker with ability to adapt quickly to a high-growth, fast paced environment.Ability to interact and form strong working relationships with senior management.Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.Outstanding presentation skills and strong attention to detail.Track record of success as a trusted spokesperson to the investor community.Willingness to roll up sleeves and always be hands-on as needed.Understanding of financial statements and valuation models.Ability to understand science and medical terminology and translate into communication to lay audiences, understanding SEC and FDA regulations and impact on investor communications.Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated, detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.Industry: Biotechnology
Employment Type: Full-time, in the office presence, minimum 4 days per week
The salary range for this position is $240,000 to $270,000 annually. This is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary depending on the candidate's education, prior relevant industry experience and the company's compensation practices.
