SUMMARY:
Provides in an atmosphere of Christian community, healthcare service that contributes to the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being of each person served.
Analyses relevant patient health data and organizational data to identify expected outcomes for the population served.
The RN systematically evaluates patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes and works with leaders and staff to adjust care accordingly.
The RN acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in the clinical and operational aspects of the company.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Graduate of an accredited school in Master's in Nursing
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Currently licensed in the State of Louisiana to practice as an RN.
Maintains certification in appropriate area(s) of Nursing/Administration
OVERSIGHT OF CLINICAL OPERATIONS:
Centers of Excellence: Bariatric, Robotic & Minimally Invasive Gyn (Maintain compliance with required standards of care and oversight of education). Coordinate staff education with unit managers as needed.
Grievance: Review & follow up with patient/family to resolve issues. Participate in Grievance Committee as needed.
Infection Control: Analyze data for potential SSI infections & follow up to ensure compliance with Best Practice Standards.
Work with SF AHA Training Center to meet demands of staff education in ACLS, PALS, BLS.
OVERSIGHT OF QUALITY:
Review metrics performance to ensure compliance with Best Practice standards and any additional requirements.
Joint Commission and CMS requirements to include actions needed for compliance to maintain accreditation.
Site Liaison for facility issues as needed.
Patient Satisfaction: Analyze data & work with teams to increase scores.
Infection Control: Review data with team to ensure accuracy in reporting of metrics & initiate action as needed.
Participate in Committees as appropriate.
Participate in initiatives as directed; LEM / C2 / 100-day plan.
OVERSIGHT OF PATIENT CARE SERVICES:
First & Third floor Patient Wings.
Pre-Admit Testing unit.
Education: Instructor for Periop 101; assist with specific needs as identified.
Ancillary Services (Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology, Dietary, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, etc.).
Grievance/Complaints: intervention with patient/family/staff to identify issues, address, and work toward resolution.
PHYSICIAN & EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP:
Assist Leadership as needed.
Oversight of all Physician Committees (6) to include quality of agenda & minutes, follow up on action items, and encourage physician engagement at all levels and specialties.
Attend SF Department of Surgery quarterly meetings; ensure Physician committee minutes are in packet and presented by Chair/alternate. Ensure Chair has knowledge of recommendations needing approval at this level for presentation/discussion.
Maintain relationships with Medical Staff to ensure preferences, policies, and Best Practice Standards of Care are appropriate.
