INNOVATE EVERYDAY: Tandem Diabetes Care Switzerland is developing Sigi, a next-generation insulin "patch pump" that will offer additional treatment options for people with diabetes. This pump is based on a patented microfluidics technology developed in-house over the past 6 years. You can find out more about Sigi here.
A DAY IN THE LIFE: The Sr Electronic Test Engineer will be a key player for Sigi Hardware Verification and Validation. The related tests, carried out according to international standards requirements, will demonstrate functionality, efficiency, and sufficient reliability of the Sigi system to build the technical file of the product.
Working from Tandem Diabetes Care Switzerland's office onsite in Switzerland, you'll have to:
Contribute towards the creation and review of functional requirements at the system, subsystem, and component level.Design, develop, and execute Design verification test plans, and protocols, and prepare auditable test reports.Work in collaboration with the quality department to fulfill the requirements or characteristics described in international standards. Adhere to internal quality processes and procedures and produce quality artifacts.Collaborate with the electronics engineers, mechanical group, firmware group, and system development group in designing/building test fixtures needed for system verification activities.Develop the test fixtures and create needed validation documentation.Develop and utilize new tools to assist in test automation efforts throughout the product development and maintenance processes.Ensure compliance with company policies, including Privacy/GDPR, and other legal and regulatory requirements.Other responsibilities as assigned.YOU'RE AWESOME AT: Committed to finding the most appropriate tests and test methods.Solid experience in medical development and international standards.Meticulous, rigorous, systematic, and reliable.Comfortable working autonomously and also as a team player.Fluency in English (written and spoken) required, fluency in French (spoken) strongly preferred.YOU'LL NEED: Master's degree in Microengineering, Electronics or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and years of applicable experience.5 years' experience in the field of medical device testing or in a related area.Experience with a multitude of laboratory test equipment.Data acquisition tools, e.g. oscilloscopes, weighing balances.Demonstrated experience in writing test protocols and reports.Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment.Thorough knowledge of and experience with FDA.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
