Role: Sr. Estimator Location: Hampstead, MD Position Type: FTE POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this position is to produce accurate and competitive job estimates for single and multi-phase site development projects, and to manage those projects to completion.
The Estimator is the Core position in the Estimating Job Family and has responsibility for business development and client relationships management
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Analyze plans, existing and proposed conditions to determine quantities of time, materials and other resources necessary to complete job
Engage third party providers as required or as deemed cost effective, assess service quality and value and negotiate pricing
Apply internal cost data to quantity estimates, formulate incremental pricing structure to job phases with consideration on total quantities, customer relationship and other variables
Compile entire job cost, ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted in accordance with bid requirements
Monitor job progress with regard to schedule and costs, work with Field Management (Foremen, Superintendents) to ensure proper cost control and to identify and price extra work required for completion
Initiate, develop and manage client relationships to maximize visibility, respect and reputation for CJM's products and services
Provide advice and guidance to junior staff as needed
