Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A Strategy, this role is ideal for someone to master the elements of strategic decision making and long-range planning through growth initiatives at a world-class SaaS company
\n What you will be doingPerform ROI analyses for new initiatives and investments, including building P&L models to measure the impact on the existing business and reporting metrics.Drive ROI results by building and maintaining relationships with business leadersMeasure actual performance against ROI analysesPerform due diligence and financial modeling for mergers and acquisitionsDrive meaningful inorganic growth with executive-level visibility in collaboration with Corporate Development team and business leaders Measure integration progress and post-close performance against deal modelPerform Long Range Plan modeling by updating with strategic business cases, actual results, etc. The Long Range Plan includes elements of new sales, renewals, and three financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows).Collaborate with executives and inform them on the Long Range Plan inputs over corporate strategy, product strategy, go-to-market, and operations Measure actual performance against the Long Range PlanProvide strategic financial insights to support the organization's long term growth and profitabilitySupport Chief Strategy Officer with ad-hoc reporting and data for decision makingPerform market research from reliable data sources to provide business insightsPrepare presentations for the executive leadership teamLeverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvementsTackle all responsibilities with the Perform, Drive, Measure Framework What you will need to know/haveBachelor's degree required3-5 years of Investment Banking, FP&A, or analytical experienceExpert modeling skills with the ability to create models from scratch Strong analytical abilities to manage large data sets and synthesize/present complex information in a structured, cohesive narrativeStrong work ethic, integrity, and productivityAbility to work non-traditional hours, if neededExperience in a fast-paced, growth companyStrong communication skills for a successful remote work environmentStrong business partnering skills and holistic view of business strategy, processes, and financial objectivesSelf-starter and quick learner; demonstrated independence and autonomy in a high-performing work environmentDemonstrated ability and desire to think creatively and embrace ambiguitySignificant experience in Excel, PowerPoint/Google SlidesExceptional presentation and communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate and deal effectively with all levels of an organizationBias towards finding solutions vs. shutting down ideas Bonus if you also haveBackground in Public Accounting M&A, Investment banking, and Tech/Software/SaaSMBA or Master's Degree in FinanceProficiency using SQL to manipulate large data setsFamiliarity with SalesForce data objects and structure Get in on all the awesome at Instructure!Competitive salary and 401k 100% paid medical, dental, disability, and life insurance HSA program, vision, voluntary life, and AD&D Tuition reimbursementPaid time off, 11 paid holidays, and flexible work schedules
