Woodgrain Distribution is looking for a Senior HR Manager at our Lawrenceville GA facility. This position is not a contract, remote or consulting position. The HR Director is an ON-SITE, IN OFFICE position. The right candidate for this role has 10 years' HR experience, with at least 5 years managing an HR team.
To be successful, the Senior HR Manager must believe in the power of Human Resources! Far beyond the HRIS system, this person must be able to assist across all aspects of HR and the business including recruiting and retention; compensation and benefits; disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations; performance management; recognition and service awards.
EXEMPT SALARY Base of $110,000-$130,000 + annual bonus
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Make a Difference, Don't Just Maintain Identify and enforce HR systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the division.Rely on data not drama. Create and share HR data.Align HR activities to the team member life cycle program: recruit, develop, retain.Challenge unaligned business strategies.Set an effective vision for HR in the division. Establish and reinforce Woodgrain culture and values.Partner with division management to anticipate and plan for future growth.HR Management Manage the Human Resource Department including HR Staff.Maintain a well-organized paperless HR function. Continuously improve automated programs.Develop, direct and evaluate the division's HR policies, procedures and programs.Establish credibility throughout the division.Use facts to effectively manage HR.Lead and direct investigations, progressive discipline, and team member relations to ensure all team members are treated fairly and with respect.Promote worker engagement by planning for team member events.Develop and direct a performance management system that is aligned to division goals.Oversee the service award program.Compensation and Benefits Develop and direct a performance management system that is linked to compensation. Include job descriptions, performance reviews, and annual merits.Identify and establish wage and salary structures to include progressive pay scales.Training & Development Develop and provide content and acknowledgments for division-wide annual compliance.Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.Recruiting and Retention Develop local recruiting plans, employ sourcing strategies to attract and retain the best talent.Provide oversight to our Recruiting Manager and our Recruiters. REQUIREMENTS Masters or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 10 years' experience with broad-based HR initiatives.
Minimum 5 years managing an HR Team. Working knowledge of employment, labor laws, and wage and hour regulations at federal and multi-state levels is required.
Experience with Unions is preferred.
Proficient in MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS
