The Sr Income Tax Specialist role is a corporate income tax position focused on the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns and the income tax provision.
The Income Tax Senior reports to the Lewisville-based Income Tax Manager.
The Income Tax Senior is an integral part of our tax function and will assist in providing tax insight and support to our growing tax team.
Our developmental culture will also foster a broad, fundamental tax technical experience in federal, state, and foreign tax research, ASC 740 compliance and reporting.
This position is a hybrid role, working out of our Lewisville office.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Assist with the preparation and review of the federal income tax return.
Assist third party preparers with the preparation and review of state and foreign income tax returns.
Assist with the preparation of the global income tax provision and disclosures for the annual provision.
Assist with the preparation of separate company standalone provisions for carve-out financial statements.
Work with tax subject matter experts on special projects related to mergers and acquisitions and income tax planning.
Team with the other members of the tax department to perform provision and compliance process assessments, solution design, development, implementation, configuration, and testing.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Tax required, Master's degree preferred
A minimum of (5) five years of public accounting experience focused in Federal corporate income tax compliance and corporate income tax provisions; or four to six years of experience in a similar industry corporate income tax role.
Preference given to candidates holding an active CPA license, but not required.
Preference given to candidates with previous experience working with OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax, Fixed Assets CS, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Query, PowerBI, and Viewpoint, but not required.
Prior exposure to ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes
Strong tax research and communication skills.
