Sr. IT Engineer - Microsoft .NET Developer
Seeking a Microsoft .NET Developer in the information technology department. As a Microsoft .NET Developer, you will be part of a team providing development and support for the Commercial Business order management systems production environment with a focus area that includes sales order initialization, legacy order entry, and metric reporting but can cover any of the order management areas. Daily activities will include participation and lead in the design, development, testing, and implementation of changes to web, windows (batch) applications. Experience in the entire systems development life cycle will be required as you will be working directly with business departments for requirements gathering and will create their own functional and technical specs and then continue with development, testing, implementation, and support. The Commercial IT team is located at East Chicago, which is the preferred location.
Responsibilities:
Gather detailed business requirements to deliver changes from the business user groups.Design, develop, test, & implement changes to Commercial Web and Windows applications.Be the technical expert to manage the production environment for the Commercial systems.Coordinate ongoing communication and support with business users.Responsible for application design by having a good end to end knowledge of the business process and how the legacy applications fit together.Ensure all production documentation is up to date including functional specifications and test cases.Ensure all new developments conform to standards.Project management including the ability to manage own work.
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent8+ years of experience developing Web and Windows Applications and Services including HTML5, CSS (Bootstrap), AJAX, Dependency Injection, and JavaScript.8+ years of experience in the Microsoft Development stack: ASP.NET Core 6, ASP.net Core Identity Security, MVC, C#, Entity Framework, LINQ, jQuery, Blazor Server, Asynchronous Programming.Excellent SQL Server skills including experience with current versions of SQL Server and a deep understanding of T-SQL, complex Joins, Stored Procedures, and Triggers.Experience and understanding of the full SDLC including gathering business requirements, designing solutions, and working with stakeholders to test and implement the solutions you build.Experience working on large enterprise applications.Ability to work independently.Participation in at least three enterprise development projectsO365 Microsoft toolsStrong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Requirements:
Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or EquivalentMicrosoft Certification (Developer or Solution Architect) with 10+ years of web/windows development experienceExperience with Microsoft .Net Architecture design in an enterprise organization.Experience with Microsoft Azure, Synapse and/or Dev Ops.Manufacturing experienceSAP S/4 HANA (1709 or higher) experience
