POSITION OVERVIEWThe IT Systems Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive support for the technology infrastructure at assigned locations, encompassing desktop support, mobile devices, server hardware and infrastructure, and network hardware and infrastructure.Position is on site at our Mission Complex located in Sahuarita, Az.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting the IT department's technologies at company sites.• Independently administer and maintain IT infrastructure systems and networks, workstations, and end-user devices through various channels, including ticketing systems, email, phone, or in-person support.• Troubleshoot complex Windows hardware, software, and connectivity issues at designated ASARCO sites.• Contribute to the creation of professional reports, instructional documentation, departmental projects, and the development of technology standards and procedures.• Collaborate effectively with other technology departments and groups to align on vision, direction, and joint projects.ADDITIONAL DUTIES• Support departmental audits and actively participate in ongoing process improvement efforts.• Take ownership and accountability for incidents at assigned locations.• Assist technology management in strategizing, directing, and implementing interdepartmental initiatives to achieve company goals.• Liaise with external vendors for hardware procurement, cabling projects, software support, etc.• Maintain accurate inventory records of IT hardware assets.• Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directive, and principlesREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES• Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting technologies including:• Windows server roles: File, Print, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, RDS.• ThinOS, Terminal Services, FTP.• TCP/IP, wireless protocols, Cisco Wireless LAN controllers, Cisco switches and routers, Cisco IOS, VLAN management, firewalls, ACLs.• Apple iOS devices, Mobile Device Management tools.• VMware virtual environments: ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, managing snapshots, deploying and managing virtual servers.• Disaster recovery strategy, server backup processes, restoration processes, Veeam Backup and Replication software.• Network storage, disk arrays, SAN, NAS.• Network and endpoint monitoring tools such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, Op Manager.• Windows desktop OS support and administration, desktop and laptop hardware support.• Security principles and integration, network segmentation, familiarity with common phishing, ransomware, malware, social engineering methods.• Office 365 administration, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree).• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in relevant technologies.• Certifications in focus areas or equivalent practical experience.A core value of ASARCO LLC is "Safety First."
