About the Team: Quizlet's Machine Learning team is core to Quizlet's vision of being an AI tutor and go-to student app for everyone. We inspire, validate, build, and continuously improve ML/AI products to scale learning. Some things we've worked on include personalized learning experiences by modeling how students learn, smart assessment, and advanced questions. We make use of our vast UGC study content, unique data of billions of study interactions, learning science, diverse domain expertise, cutting edge ML, and generative AI.
About this role: We are "full stack" ML data scientists here at Quizlet, involved in everything from ideation to prototype research to technical implementation. This role is part of the growth team, where you will collaborate with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and product engineers to enhance and personalize our new user experience, optimize our lifecycle strategy, and build growth-focused features.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco office hubs.
In this role you will: Envision, research, develop, and improve high impact ML/AI driven products and features, collaborating closely with cross-functional teamsBuild and maintain production Python services used by over 50M students and teachers around the world every monthStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ML/AI and educational technology to ensure that our platform remains at the forefront of innovationHelp to continuously evaluate and improve both new and existing ML/AI models and productsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior membersWhat you bring to the table: 4+ years of experience in machine learning and a proven track record of delivering impactful, production ML solutions at scaleExperience with building multi-armed bandit modelsDeep understanding of machine learning approaches and techniques, as well as of product and user needsProficiency in Python and production engineering best practices.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challengesExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environmentPassion for education and a strong interest in leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience for studentsBonus points if you have: Experience working in education technologyCompensation, Benefits & Perks: Quizlet is an equal opportunity employer.
