About the Job: Sr Mammography Technologist We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sr Mammography Technologist to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with a focus on patient safety and accuracy of diagnostics. Maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and adhere to strict confidentiality and compliance practices while maintaining patient records. Utilize radiology information systems (RIS) and PACS to manage image archives and ensure efficient workflow. Participate in quality control procedures to ensure the performance of mammography equipment adheres to internal and external regulations. Engage in continuous education and performance improvement initiatives to ensure high standards in technological advancements and clinical practice. Train and mentor students and new hires, providing educational support and practical training under compliant protocols. Flexible in scheduling and willing to cover additional sites in San Mateo, Berkeley, and other locations as required. Minimum Position Qualifications: Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiology Technology. Minimum of 3 years of mammography experience. Valid ARRT Mammography Certification and CRT Radiology License. Current BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification. Documented proof of performing at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months. Documented completion of at least 40 hours of mammography-specific training, if certified after April 27, 1999. Completion of at least 15 CEUs in mammography within the last 36 months, including training in the modality of each equipment used. Preferred Qualifications: More than 5 years of extensive experience in mammography. Experience with advanced diagnostic procedures, including 3D Tomosynthesis. Leadership experience in managing or training teams within a clinical setting. Successful completion of MQSA approved training in both digital mammography and 3D Tomosynthesis, with documented 8 hours for each. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and leadership roles within the department. Skills: Exceptional technical skills in conducting both diagnostic and screening mammograms. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and trainees effectively. High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information and maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to adapt and efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using healthcare databases and application software pertinent to radiological practices.
