Join the AWS Perimeter Protection team as an Applied Science Manager, where you will lead a team of Applied Data Scientists developing cutting-edge AI/ML-based security solutions, and you will own and drive significant scope and impact.
You will lead AI innovation and solve the hardest problems in cybersecurity. You will own the direct customer experience, collaborate closely with our security engineering team, and various product teams, to build innovative offerings for our existing security services, including Web Application Firewall, DDoS Protection, Bot Management, Network Firewall, and Infrastructure protection. With services offered across all AWS regions and handling trillions of requests per week, you will operate at a massive scale, ensuring robust and efficient security measures.
Basic Qualifications10+ years of experience working directly within engineering teamsExperience partnering with product OR program management teams5+ years of people management experience, managing engineers and/or scientists5+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems3+ years of experience in ML and AI spacePreferred QualificationsMaster's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fieldAbility to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to navigate ambiguity and delivery incrementally in the right directionA deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and a track record of shipping software on timeExperience designing software architectures for scalability, reliability, and performanceExperience with applying machine learning and AI to solve real-world problemsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
