The Industrial Platform is building a dedicated team focused on leading cross-functional initiatives at the intersection of PLM, Sales, Operations, and Engineering. The objective of the group will be to build systems that take data and transform it into insights that then enable the team to make high quality decisions with as little friction as possible. The business operations team will help prioritize areas to focus on in order to drive business performance (impact on P&L) and unlock the long tail of insights. The group will drive initiatives that will help achieve our growth targets and provide real time, actionable dashboards that clearly communicate the key metrics and health of the business.

As Senior Manager of Business Operations, you will:

Facilitate collaboration:

Create opportunities for synergies across all BUs to drive best practices and standardize on key business readouts. Break down silos across the organization and build productive relationships to accelerate growth.

Team:

build a team of business analyst located at factories that help transform data into insights.

Reporting : manage and deliver executive level reporting, including weekly, monthly, quarterly status reports to manage risks and opportunities. This includes including weekly revenue, S&OP, AOP, QBRs, NPI metrics, and Hoshin readouts

Business process improvement:

Build systems and processes to modernize key business readouts, including transitioning from static spreadsheets and powerpoint readouts to real time dashboards (Tableau) with synchronized factory MRP and sales cloud planning tools. Manage prioritized list of process improvements and identify best ways to execute implementation. Build the framework for transforming data to actionable insights, including dashboards that visualize key business metrics: performance to CRD, cycle time, inventory turns, cost reduction, lead times, PPV spend by product line, capacity utilization, and KPIs

Metrics : Identify, track, and publish key leading and lagging indicators of the business by product line. Benchmark to competition and identify key drivers of P&L performance. Modernize and streamline P&L management: Tableau views of all key financial metrics, including revenue, margin, cost, inventory, and E&O by product line, order backlog, bookings, and opex.

Cost:

Revamp and own product cost and drive cost reduction initiatives, including identifying Kaizen opportunities to improve yields, reduce scrap, optimize depreciation schedules, and streamline manufacturing strategies

Forecasting:

Partner with sales, PLM, and Operations to manage the business unit forecasting including nominal, upside, risk, opportunities, and buffer requirements to drive a consensus forecast with supply and capacity constraints considered. This includes revenue and margin forecasting of the product lines and quarter closes / allocation efforts coordinated with sales, operations, and finance.

ROI : Partner with finance and key business partners to manage, analyze, and review investments and budgets, measure, and track ROI, and reconcile deviations to plan

Required qualifications.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate.

M.Sc. in Engineering /Physics. PhD preferred

20+ years of experience in Optical industry.
