About the team: Our Product Design team is a vibrant ensemble of customer advocates, product designers, and user researchers working together on a global scale. We are dedicated to enhancing connections between pet parents and pet service providers. Our mission extends to developing sophisticated solutions that tackle diverse challenges with the booking experience, cross-platform communication, personalized scheduling, secure payments, and building trust and ensuring safety in the marketplace. Our team plays a crucial role in elevating the marketplace experience across web, iOS, and Android platforms, significantly impacting the end-to-end customer journey.
Who we're looking for: Rover is looking for a Sr. Manager, Product Design for our growing design team in Seattle, Washington. This people leader will lead a team of designers dedicated to our international pet services platform. You will coach and develop the team using your strengths and previous experience. You'll support the team in solving complex marketplace interactions and workflows, transforming them into simple, intuitive experiences. You'll be the strategic customer advocate in a triad of product leadership, overseeing our core product. While in a leadership role, there will be occasional opportunities to have a hands-on impact on the product as a contributing designer. (You understand when it's appropriate to roll up your sleeves).
You'll also partner with design and product leadership in Barcelona, Spain, to ensure consistency in both people and product management across the teams.
*This is a hybrid position that has the minimum expectation to work out of our Downtown Seattle Office two days per week on Mondays and Thursdays.
