Sr. Manager, Product Engineering The position is on-site in Newport Beach, CA.Compensation and position dependent on candidate experience and track record.Individual contributors will be considered depending on experience and track record.Key Responsibilities: Hands-on leader responsible for product characterization, qualification, initial product sampling, production release, yield optimization, and customer engagement on quality initiatives for Optical, Networking, and Automotive products.Lead the Product and Test Engineering team (7 Engineers, 3 Technicians).Set timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely execution of milestones.Mentor and provide technical leadership to team members and peers.Define test strategy for different product lines.Drive continuous process improvements and engineering excellence.Interface and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Design, Foundry, Program Management, Reliability, Hardware, Marketing, Sales, and Operations) to ensure yield, test coverage, and timeline goals are met for each product.Support Operation Engineering team test program improvement and test cost reduction initiatives.Manage on-site test development floor including vendors and suppliers.Key Qualifications: MSEE with 10+ years experience in product and test engineering of analog and RF products.Track record of releasing to production several high-volume IC products preferably for the high-speed communication/optical market.Good understanding of analog, RF, and data communication blocks including TIA, laser drivers, CDRs, PLL, ADC, DACs.Understanding and knowledge of optical communications is highly desirable.Experience with statistical analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and making data-driven decisions.Design for test (DFT) implementation and Test Plan Development.ATE HW design and SW development.Delivering robust and cost-effective test solutions.In-depth knowledge of software tools: AGILE, Basic C# (C-Sharp), and C++.Statistical tools: Excel, Galaxy, JMP, MATLAB, etc.ATE testers: Teradyne CAT, Chroma 3650 & Advantest 93K.Test Floor Equipment: 8" & 12" Prober (TSK and EG6000) & Epson 6040 Handler.Lab Equipment: Function Generator, VNA/PNA, Real-time Scope, High-Speed Sampling Scope, Spectrum Analyzer, BERTs (NRZ/PAM4), and Optical system.Attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.EEO: MACOM is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse workforce. Salary Range: $117,000 – $200,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
