Ford Motor Company Model e Supply Chain organization is looking for an experienced Electronics/Semiconductor professional to lead Semiconductor Purchasing team. This team is composed of Purchasing/Technical Experts who, along with our Engineering, Supplier Technical Assistance and Manufacturing teams will help ensure world class delivery by our supply base. The candidate will interact with Suppliers and Ford Sites globally.

What you'll do...
In this critical role, you will:
Lead and develop a high performing Semiconductor Purchasing team to ensure Security of Supply of Optimal Costed Semiconductor Components for our next generation Electronic Modules.
Establish/strengthen Semiconductor supplier relationships, enabling Ford to better align with and influence supplier technology roadmaps.
Develop, manage, and execute leading sourcing category and supply base strategy for Semiconductor Categories focusing on MCU's, PCB, Network and Wireless categories to ensure security of supply at best cost.
Lead team in issuing RFQ's to source Semiconductors for next generation electronic modules.
Collaborate with Product Development to source Semiconductor Categories meeting technical and quality requirements to allow delivery of state-of-the-art Smart connected vehicles
Engage Semiconductor supplier partners at the executive and corporate level to develop strong partnerships. Hold regular Business reviews with suppliers.
Manage team on Supplier emerging significant issues (supply issues, Quality, Cost etc.) and drive internal risk mitigation.
This role has direct reports and will be accountable to execute a robust Semiconductor Purchasing strategy. Leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize full potential.
Champion continuous improvement activities within the Semiconductor Purchasing team (including bureaucracy/efficiency improvement).
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Chemical or Industrial) or Business/Supply Chain
5+ years of experience with Semiconductor industry
10+ years of experience in Purchasing, Engineering, or Sales

Prior specialized focus on Semiconductor Technology/industry experience required
Strong leadership and people management skills. Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships across technical and business teams globally
Advanced knowledge direct semiconductor experience valued
Experience in process planning, implementation, and launch in electronics manufacturing systems
Possess excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; those needed to interact with external and internal stakeholders.
Proactive and resourceful with strong organizational and people development skills
Experience moving seamlessly from strategy to execution and deliver tangible results
