Responsibilities: Provides programming and device setup and troubleshooting support for the planning and execution of advanced research to improve the store and supply chain technology.Develops mechanisms, control algorithms, and models to build effective project plans.Collaborates with other engineers and researchers to prototype hardware and software solutions, experiments, and concepts that advance the entire project.Develops new ideas, works in new technology areas, and drives concepts to build effective prototypes.Conducts troubleshooting and root cause analyses independently to build effective prototypes.Prepares reports and documentation that present technical and project information in a clear and concise manner to provide updates to senior leaders.Prepares sketches, drawings, and schematic diagrams for a variety of audiences to support effective builds.Develops internal and external application programming interface (API) in partnership with other engineers to support an effective infrastructure.Writes modular and maintainable code to interface with changing software and hardware endpoints on a live system.Works closely with and leads other engineers to drive feature richness of in-house application support infrastructure and APIs.Communicates and partners regularly with designers, producers, and artists to design automated features and improve their efficiency and quality of work.Educates team on emerging technologies and how these have been applied in the retail environment.Develops stable prototypes independently to contribute to larger projects.Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience developing or working with mechatronic and/or 3D scanning devices, motion control, device design, control algorithms.Bachelor's degree in computer science, robotics, computer engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in computer science, robotics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.3 years of experience with system building in C++ or C#, including evaluation design.Experience with Unity and/or Unreal engines.Experience with native multiplatform development and/or multiple programming languages.Experience shipping AAA game engine build pipelines and continuous integration.Experience with robot development.Experience with machine learning frameworks and strategic prototype development.Pay Range: $163,800.00 - $311,200.00 annually
