We are hiring for a Sr Product Manager As a Sr Product Manager for Core Products at Instructure, you'll help bring our mission to life - elevate student success, amplify the power of teaching, and inspire everyone to learn together. You will be responsible for all things learning evaluation as part of our flagship product, Canvas LMS, as well as building the next set of product innovations and features to drive growth of our core business. You'll need to employ everything in your product toolkit to architect the product strategy, constantly discover new insights, and drive forward on execution.
This is a remote position. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $160,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.


\n What you will be doing:Generate vision, goals, and opportunity assessments for area of product ownership, which for this role includes critical features that allow students to demonstrate their learning and educators to evaluate that learning and inform their instruction Think Big, Start Small: Effectively prioritize short term incremental opportunities in pursuit of longer term strategic initiatives Base decisions in evidence and insights to inform and drive decision making as part of a business caseWrite effective user stories and acceptance criteria that are actionable by development team, considering outcome potential, competitive landscape, technical requirements, and user experience Create compelling stories that are audience specific and contextualize and humanize the problem to solvePartner effectively with analytics team to understand how data insights might impact product strategyIdentify and document requirements across customers, prospects and internal teamsOrganize and prioritize work in order to release with confidence and predictability Collaborate with Program Management, Design, and Engineering to deliver enhancementsCollaborate with other product teams to provide consistent user experiences across all productsCollaboration with cross-functional teams such as CX, Support, Global PMs, and Sales to fully understand our customers and their experiences to inform opportunitiesCollaborate with marketing and sales to support go-to-market plansMentor other product team members and up-skill through informal and formal opportunities What you will need to know/have:Experience in product management, with a minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experienceBe a self-starter who can create a vision and has a proven record of delivering on plans and achieving outcomesStrong analytical skills in leveraging data to drive product decisions and improve metricsBe highly motivated and results-driven, with a strong business acumenDeep user empathy and experience building products based on user needsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with a culture of rapid experimentation to accelerate learning and iterationAbility to influence and build alignment between different teams and functions to successfully execute your roadmap and deliver against goalsExperience in the education industry is a plus (but not required) Get in on all the awesome at Instructure:401k with company matchHSA program, vision, voluntary life, and AD&D Tuition reimbursementLifestyle Spending AccountPaid time off, 11 paid holidays, and flexible work schedules Motivosity - employee recognition program
