We are looking for a Product Leader for our Enterprise Products Technology team who is imaginative, collaborative and truly passionate around making lives better for engineers. This role provides the opportunity to see how your products and investment decisions transform our engineering community.
The ideal candidate:Excited by new technology: you use it, you learn new tech; ideally in your past you built itEnergized by engaging with engineers: you bring empathy and understanding to internal and external customer and user needs, including the challenges engineers face day in and day outBrings Product Management expertise: you build product strategies, operationalize product metrics, and build business casesComfortable working in grey space: you excel at working through ambiguity and the change management that comes with establishing teams to drive clear, actionable outcomesExcellent communicator: you are an effective communicator and storyteller, and are comfortable conversing with engineering teams, stakeholders, and senior leadersResponsibilities include:Taking a customer-focused, data-driven approach to defining, executing, and delivering a product roadmap and product strategyContributing to the design of Capital One's observability and monitoring strategy, and then executing on that strategy to improve our engineer and SRE experienceWorking with highly technical customers of a large platform at the center of the companyEngaging customers directly through a variety of channels to serve as the voice of the customer internally: identifying new capabilities, defining product features, and working closely with development teams to get those features incorporatedWorking in a cross-functional group - you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring a product to lifeDrive the product management practice within the organization, defining expectations and commitmentsOperationalizing product metrics for the products you own and building the business case for new investmentInfluencing senior stakeholders to use our products and sharing with them the outcomes we are enabling to strengthen investmentWe want you if you are:Intellectually Curious: You ask why, you explore, you're not afraid to blurt out your crazy idea or follow an email chain for weeks to find someone with an answer. You have the ability to put the team before yourself and establish long-lasting relationships.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 5 years of experience in digital product management, product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineeringPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or EngineeringMBA or Master's degree3+ years of experience in Agile product managementExperience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital productsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $199,100 - $227,200 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
San Francisco and San Jose, California (Hybrid On-Site): $210,900 - $240,700 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
