We are looking candidate in the LAX area on site 2-3 days wk as follows: Job Title : Senior Product Owner /Senior Product Manager II- financial applications (Music) DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW Content Platform is responsible for defining technology solutions, product requirements and roadmaps, plus training and support of critical applications used by business partners who are reliant on the global content supply chain.
This team also enables software capabilities and workflows, spanning content planning & greenlight, distribution rights & sales management, marketing enablement, asset management & distribution, and monetization through content accounting & revenue recognition.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Music Supply Chain team is looking for a Senior Product Owner to collaborate with business end- users, third-party vendor(s), software engineering team members and other Product professionals.
The Product Owner will split their time between supporting a music publishing royalty/income processing system and a data delivery & reporting application, to ensure business continuity across the Accounting, Copyright Administration and Royalties departments within Disney Music Group and Controllership.
The Music application ecosystem is dependent upon financial and non-financial data in support of the timely processing and delivery of revenue-expense, royalties, reporting and journal entries on a monthly/quarterly/semi-annual basis.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES Serve as a senior product owner within Music product team - ownership of on-going sustainment activities to support weekly, monthly, quarterly, & semi-annual deadlines (accounting close, royalty statement cycles) Have a strategic mindset while facilitating requirement sessions with key stakeholders & prioritizing features.
Create comprehensive requirements for the delivery team to solution.
Store all support documentation in Confluence.
Drive consensus among stakeholders with conflicting needs Document overall strategy for assigned applications.
Create epics, features, and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria in Jira.
Create flows in Lucid Charts.
Store supporting documentation and links in the team's Confluence page.
Use Agile best practices, as well as, pragmatic ingenuity, to build requirements and stories with the primary goal of consistent incremental delivery of mvp and multi-phased product solutions aligned with overall Music Supply Chain Strategic goals.
Work with multiple stakeholders - engineers, QA, leads, product team members - to create, iterate, maintain and communicate product roadmaps.
