Sr. Production Test Engineer / Missile Assembly / Ate - Troy, Al - Security Clearance Required

Description: This position provides technical support of Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama. Responsibilities will include; but are not limited to; supporting the development of automated test equipment, manufacturing test planning, preparation of test procedures from engineering requirements, support of electro-mechanical integration, and perform test anomaly troubleshooting and fault resolution. This role requires knowledge / experience with (1) electronic circuits, (2) automated test software, (3) manufacturing test in a production environment, (4) the ability to interpret engineering requirements, (5) evaluate electrical test results, (6) conduct detailed failure analysis, (7) develop and implement root cause and corrective / preventative actions and (8) utilize statistical data analysis for trend analysis. Previous experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, National Instrument's Lab-View Lab-Windows CVI and Test-Stand software and a familiarity with common electronic test equipment, components and devices is very desirable. The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small- town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA. Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. Basic Qualifications: Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline at the Bachelor's level and 5+ years production test experience or 3+ years production test experience with a related Master's degree. Experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, specifications and schematics. Experience conducting detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and implement the corrective / preventative actions. Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment. Desired Skills: Active DoD Secret Clearance Knowledge / experience with (1) electronic circuits, (2) automated test software, (3) manufacturing test in a production environment, (4) the ability to interpret engineering requirements, (5) evaluating electrical test results, (6) conducting detailed failure analysis, (7) developing and implementing root cause and corrective / preventative actions and (8) utilizing statistical data analysis for trend analysis. Previous experience with programming languages C, C#, C++, Visual C or Visual Basic, and National Instrument Lab-Windows CVI, Test-Stand and NI Lab-View software. Strong hands-on assembly / disassembly / troubleshooting skills of mechanical, electrical, industrial and/or home equipment and products. Familiarity with manufacturing software DELMIA Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Systems Applications & Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools in a manufacturing environment. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
