The Senior Program Consultant will develop, implement, update, and manage the suite of programs in the American Heart Association's professional certification portfolio. The Senior Program Consultant relies on scientifically sound certification criteria and professional experience in developing healthcare certification programs to determine and develop certification pipelines aligned with market need and organizational values. This position is grant funded, and will oversee the professional certification team business functions, including projections, budget, and expense management.
Oversees professional certification suite of programs through the implementation of innovative revenue and program growth plans. Develop, implement, update, and manage the suite of programs including revenue projections, budget, grant, and expense management. Oversees marketing endeavors including materials, campaigns, and deliverables for funders. Relies on scientifically sound certification criteria and professional experience in developing healthcare certification programs to determine and develop certification pipelines aligned with market need and organizational values. Manage oversight and coordinate operational and logistical deliverables, as well as collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to offer the programs. Recruitment, engagement, and management of the volunteer workgroup for each certification product. The workgroup provides direction and feedback to the development team regarding recommendations for certification program development, test creation, and evaluation. Build process for the platforms needed to advance the professional certification program. Works with vendors to enhance the user experience as well as creating integrated reporting functions and audit processes in the Professional Education Hub (PEH). Fosters and manages relationships with external collaborating organizations, expert volunteers, and internal cross-functional teams to develop supplementary program materials such as marketing collateral and legal documents. Supports and partners with internal teams working to develop and improve new and current programs. Routine quality improvement exercises are conducted to promote program efficiency and process efficiency. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Five (5) years of relevant experience. Experience in healthcare, healthcare education, or in a public health-related organization: clinical, quality improvement, program development, professional development, and systems improvement. Project management experience; experienced in influencing performance without direct line accountability. Program growth and development experience: proven experience in programmatic development to function well in a fast-paced, highly stressed, and visible environment.
