This position performs a variety of estimating, administrative, and clerical functions in support of the Project Managers. Responsibilities include project management assistance, subcontractor relations, reporting, takeoffs, and correspondence.
Responsibilities Support Project Managers.Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare material lists.Review, identify and detail revisions to project plans and specifications.Process, document, quantify and manage communication for revisions, change orders, addendums, and new plans.Track plan revisions / RFQ's and follow up on subcontractor pricing as requiredAdminister and file communications with general contractors and architects.Send plans and specifications to subcontractors as required.Process, send out, and track quote requests for site furnishings, subcontractors, plant materials.Assist in communication of project information to field superintendents as requiredReview and be familiar with contracts, plans & scope of work on assigned projectsMaintain RFI & Change Order LogsWork with Purchasing Department to ensure plant materials, site furnishing, and long lead time or specialty items are ordered and delivered in a timely mannerCoordinate and track communication with subcontractorsAssist in management of subcontracts, change orders, RFI's, billings, revisions, close­outs & warranty letters from subcontractorsAssist with Submittal process: Compile, document, submit, follow up and update log.Coordinate site furnishing submittals, procurement and delivery with purchasing and field.Work with Purchasing Department to manage long lead itemsManage close out coordination: As-builts, warranty letters, etc. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in construction, administration, business or equivalent in experienceFive years' experience in construction, estimating, and/or landscape constructionValid driver licenseAbility to read and understand plans and specificationsProficient in Microsoft Office, OST or similar Take-Off software and other applicable software as requiredAbility to manage multiple assignments and projects independently and simultaneouslyMust be detail oriented, organized, and customer service focusedExcellent oral and written communication skillsHave excellent phone and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and assume responsibility to carry out all assignments in a proficient and professional mannerAbility to handle unexpected projects and demonstrate willingness to help othersGeneral plant, irrigation, construction, and drainage knowledgeGeneral knowledge of materialAbility to analyze and solve problems.
