Sr Project Engineering Manager - Logistics (Contingent Upon Award) Location Dayton, OH (Downtown area) : As the Senior Logistics Project Engineering Manager candidate, you will support the SAOC product support team with technical leadership in the development of product supportability and sustainment data for the program. The Senior Logistics Project Engineering Manager is a transformative role on the product support team, beginning with hands-on research of the green aircraft, and evolving to the subject matter expert on the final SAOC configuration. Learn more about IAS Responsibilities: The Senior Logistics Project Engineering Manager will research the green aircraft configuration to include part numbers, CAGE codes, installed quantities and locations, and to research or verify green aircraft Technical Orders. The Senior Logistics Project Engineering Manager will develop, review, and assess maintenance procedures based on integration with the green aircraft; where green aircraft structures, wiring, and other installed equipment remain in place throughout SAOC integration. The Senior Logistics Project Engineering Manager will review maintenance procedures based on integration with the green aircraft; where green aircraft structures, wiring, and other installed equipment remain in place throughout SAOC integration; Designs installation, removal, fault isolation procedures for SAOC items integrated into the green aircraft in support of Integrated Program Teams (IPT). The ideal candidate will coordinate program technical development and maintenance program activities with supplier performance as primary focus, including liaison between program Engineering and Operations to support the transition of custom electronic hardware from development to production. The ideal candidate will support the development of supportability data to plan and prepare for Engineering and sustainment disciplines to guide design, testing, maintenance and installation support on specialized airborne platforms. The ideal candidate will develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving. You will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives, will work internally with the program team, technical resources, production, procurement, OEMs, Contracts, and others and lead supplier performance improvement efforts when intervention is required. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the aircraft recapitalization process, including specific aspects such as: supplier/subcontractor buy-off and customer sell-off events including production configuration records and acceptance test results, as well as aircraft and subsystem testing, including plans and requirements of flight testing and hangar operations. The ideal candidate will be familiar with full lifecycle Mission Assurance oversight of critical suppliers, including Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) analyses for mechanical and electrical design reviews and the preparation of documentation packets for Manufacturing Orders. Verified strict configuration control and as-built product records. The ideal candidate will have developed procedures to coordinate and manage implementation of in-process design changes, the inspection of all procured hardware items, assemblies and systems, the development and conduct of internal process audits of hardware design and manufacturing activities. And the development and conduct of FRACAS analyses and data. The ideal candidate will be familiar with how these developed processes can be utilized within SNC's internal QA processes to ensure effectiveness of company Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate must demonstrate familiarity with concepts of mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to failures (MTTF), mean time to repair (MTTR), failure mode effects analysis (FMEA). The candidate will evaluate products for conformance to mechanical/electrical specifications, support or review the results of life/reliability tests (MTBF, MTTF), perform process capability studies (PPAP, SREA, & APQP), supported failure mode, mechanism, and prediction information as part of FMEAs and lead or support root cause investigation processes. Candidate must be familiar with the integrated product development process including design reviews, and performance of MIL-STD environmental tests. The candidate will support planning for the maintenance demonstration The candidate will support the Joint Reliability Maintainability Evaluation Team (JRMET) quarterly meetings updates to the reliability growth planning curve with a comparison of demonstrated performance with projected reliability against the planned reliability growth; and potentially maintain an electronic database.
Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field of study and typically 12 or more years of technical experience Expert knowledge of engineering principles and practice Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team Comprehensive understanding of requirements management, system design, integration Demonstrated ability to perform at a high level in both the Engineering and Operations functions within an organization and to effectively facilitate the required teamwork Expert knowledge of electronic manufacturing and acceptance standards demonstrated by certification from IPC Electronics Manufacturing, specifically Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) of the following, J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, IPC-A-600 Acceptability of Printed Boards, IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Requirements & Acceptance for Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies and IPC 7711/7721 Rework, Modification & Repair of Electronic Assemblies Experience working in aircraft hangar facilities and familiarity with the associated safety The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Typically 6-8 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team and communicating with program management and customers Senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) with active professional certifications, specifically Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) at minimum. Additional certifications desired are Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt (CSSYB), Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), Risk Management Specialized Credential (RMSC), and Lean Specialized Credential (LSC).
