Job Description Hill International is seeking a Sr Project Manager in Houston, Texas Responsibilities Manage the planning, design, and execution of projects by providing project leadership, communication, coordination and conflict resolution to ensure project goals are met. Manage project from initiation through completion of construction. Responsible for leading meetings with owner, architects and contractors as well as providing leadership role in client relations. Responsible for project budget, schedule, and procurement of design and construction services.
Drive progress of consultants to achieve expected functionality; and recommend alternatives to recover negative drift.
Facilitate timely decisions by campus representatives and report progress and issues impacting the project goals to stakeholders. Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements.
Facilitate timely review of contract documents by OFPC engineers and consultants at Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document phases of the work.
Review and approve design and construction contracts, changes, technical service contracts, Guaranteed Maximum Price submittals, bid documents, pay applications, etc.
During construction, direct and/or provide support to Owner, Project Manager, Construction Manager, Construction Inspectors, and other staff in management of construction activities and processes. Apply project control processes to track progress; for consistency; to mitigate risks; and to assure compliance. Primary project liaison with campus staff, facility user groups, operations and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input, manage expectations, resolve conflicts and facilitate decisions.
Qualifications Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience providing professional project management and leadership on municipal or similar projects. Experience directing design professionals and administer contracts necessary to meet project goals. Experience directing contractors and administer contracts, review schedules, review estimates and review payment applications. Education and experience required including training, registration, and licensure. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering with a minimum of 5-10 years project management experience.
