The Sr. Security Training Specialist is responsible for developing course curriculum, building relationships with employees, stakeholders, and delivering course material in front of an audience.
At times, the Safety & Security Training Specialist is expected to work on projects or conduct research independently.
They will also interface with Security Officers and provide mentorship, leadership, and guidance.
Training Specialists will collaborate with key stakeholders to provide timely, effective, and impactful training presentations to improve the security training posture.The Training Specialist will report to the Sr. Security Director and will be based out of the Tesla Training Center.
Responsibilities Strategically plan, implement, and track security training initiatives.
Record training metrics and draft insightful summary reports Assess current training programs and make improvements based on our Global Security Training Standards.
Coordinate with cross functional business partners to include Human Resources, Legal, Learning and Development, and lead security training initiatives in support of their strategies Design, implement, and deliver high quality training and workshops customized to the training audience; maintain calendar of scheduled trainings Develop and implement security leadership training initiatives.
Assist in developing our internal Security Training Academy Continually assess our organization's training needs and provide innovative solutions to attend to those needs.
Remain current on all updates and changes that can affect Security Training standards Support initiatives to strengthen external partnerships with local and state law enforcement, federal agencies, third party vendors and community organizations Requirements 4+ years in physical security, risk management, loss prevention, emergency preparedness or law enforcement experience, 3+ years providing Security and Safety related courses Knowledge of adult learning principles, training concepts, and design highly preferred Competency in creating workplace rapport to enhance Security messaging as well as keep consistency across the business Experience delivering training through multiple channels to include online learning, in person and multi-media formats Ability to use internal systems to track/report training certificates to ensure compliance of local laws and regulations Experience in designing, implementing and tracking multiple Security related training and development programs Certificates to teach multiple courses, including any of the following -First Aid/CPR, Active Attacker Response, De-escalation/Verbal Judo Tactics, Critical Incident Response, Crisis Management Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed and flexibility to travel as necessary Compensation and Benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
