Sr. Software Developer Location Lebanon, TN : Position Summary The Senior Software Developer is responsible for leading the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Company software applications, custom developed software, custom reports, and databases. This role includes mentoring junior developers, designing software solutions, and implementing advanced technology integrations. The Senior Software Developer plays a key role in strategic technical decision-making and reports directly to the CIO.
Job Responsibilities Lead and solve complex technical problems across the full stack including backend, frontend, database, and infrastructure. Collaborate with project stakeholders to analyze and design robust software solutions that meet advanced user needs, including strategizing and implementing upgrade plans for legacy systems to modern technology platforms. Develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom applications and application enhancements based on detailed specifications, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption during system transitions. Oversee unit and regression testing to ensure high-quality code deployments. Refine existing software to enhance functionality and improve system performance, particularly focusing on modernizing legacy systems. Collect and integrate user feedback to improve software usability and functionality. Design and administer databases tailored for specific application needs, including upgrades to support enhanced features and performance. Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. Lead the creation and support of custom reports. Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and the ability to operate with minimal supervision. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, organizing, planning, and prioritizing work effectively, with a special focus on legacy system upgrades. Assume additional responsibilities as needed to support the IT division's goals. Required Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience. Expertise in .NET, C#, SQL Server, and familiarity with .NET MVC best practices. Advanced knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular. Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless). Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring junior staff. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely. Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices. Who we are!
