What we need: As a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Microservices and SDKs, you will play a pivotal role within our AI Applications team. Leveraging our advanced Multimodal AI Platform (MAP), you'll bridge the gap between customer success, product development, and engineering to deliver impactful AI-driven solutions. You'll collaborate closely across multiple teams, serving as the customer facing Tech Lead while becoming an expert and champion of the Coactive platform.
What you'll do: Act as an expert and advocate for the Coactive product, demonstrating its capabilities and value. Collaborate with the product team and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful microservices using Python and FastAPI. Work with Platform and DevOps teams to deploy and manage services on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.). Provide technical guidance to prospects and customers, leading Proof-of-Value engagements and technical integrations. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support to sales and solutions engineers. Maintain clear documentation and establish streamlined processes to enhance collaboration. What we look for: BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience building distributed, highly scalable microservices with Python and FastAPI. Strong understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in customer-facing technical roles, such as solutions engineering or SME, is preferred. Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders to develop solutions that drive customer success. Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and executive audiences, including delivering demos and product walkthroughs. Ability to mentor both technical and non-technical team members. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation. Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus. Knowledge of GO and experience in building SDKs are highly desirable. What you can expect from us: Location: San Jose, California (hybrid, with three days in office) The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $166,000-$190,000. At Coactive, cash salary is only one part of our total compensation package.
