Sr. Software Engineer, Embedded, Tesla BotTesla is on a path to building humanoid robots at scale to automate repetitive and boring tasks.
We are looking for Firmware Engineers to develop embedded platform drivers and application layer code for various robotics applications on our TeslaBot platform. In this role, you will develop scalable drivers to interface with an ASIC, bring up a new communication protocol, optimize existing drivers to improve performance, or write application-level modules to achieve a specific function on a given subsystem.

What You'll DoDevelopment of scalable real-time embedded software that implements sensing, control, and safety management of the Tesla Bot actuatorsBring up new sensors, communication networks, and new PCBA for various robotic applicationsDevelop automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases and accurate functionalityBe involved in the full life cycle of firmware development from concept through integration, test, and release as our fleet of robots growsWork closely with the hardware and controls team to specify hardware actuation, sensing requirements, and influence electronics designsWhat You'll BringMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience in real-time embedded software developmentBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical software engineering experience, or equivalent experienceProficiency in C; familiarity with Python is a plusExperience with reading electrical schematics and understanding circuit behaviorKnowledge of microcontroller peripherals such as ADC, PWM, SPI, I2C, ethernet, and CANExperience working with sensors and digital signal processingExperience working with the physical and data link layers of ethernet and/or other communication protocolsCompensation and BenefitsAlong with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
