Sila has multiple locations servicing the Northeast corridor with 1600+ customer centric professionals driven by the Sila mission. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the CFO and Accounting department including examining, verifying, and consolidating income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, as well as completing monthly financial packages, quarterly bank covenants, and helping with year-end audits. Sr. Staff Accountant Successful candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of the functions of AP/AR, income statements, budgeting, and ERPs. Candidates must also be proficient in billing and have expert-level experience in Excel and Power Point. Must be able to classify, assemble, analyze and prepare reports from financial data. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment while understanding that urgency and accuracy are paramount to the success of the department. Able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent communication, data entry, and problem-solving skills are required. Responsibilities and Qualifications: · Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a professional work environment. · MBA/CPA desirable. · Experience in a central business/billing operation, leading a team of Accounts Payable Specialists. · High level of confidentiality is required. · High energy, excellent multi-tasking skills, and demonstrated self-directed work ethic are required. · Excellent computer skills; including Word, Excel, Power Point. · Excellent attention to detail required along with good listening/interpersonal, and communication skills · Superior customer service skills. · Research, resolve, and communicate and discrepancies or outstanding balances on vendor accounts, including telephone, mail, or email correspondence. · Consolidate monthly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows. · Payroll Review and approval · Commission Calculation · Help maintain and improve standard operating procedures for the department. · Complete monthly financial packages. · Conduct year-end audits. · Track issues within the department and assist with remediation efforts.
