The US and CA Amazon Books Operations team is looking for a customer-focused, driven and analytical leader to build and execute a strategic, cross-functional roadmap related to product availability. This role provides the opportunity to work with global teams and the ability to influence cross-marketplace initiatives.
The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will own a roadmap that aims to drive supply chain efficiencies and maximize sales, margin, and turns, working in a consultation capacity. This role is critical to manage and optimize a complex procurement system and prevent out of stocks. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment, while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Key job responsibilities Build technical expertise in supply chain optimization systemsBuild and execute a strategic, cross-functional roadmap related to buying and forecastingLeverage new and existing mechanisms to manage your roadmapWork and liaise with internal, external, and partner stakeholdersLeverage data to make recommendations and decisions in order to improve the customer experienceOwn multiple projects domestically and in a WW settingSet goals and manage performance against key operational metricsDeliver results vs team goalsWrite documents to support the progress of your roadmapBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of experience with Excel
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with complex data sets
- Experience owning an end-to-end program strategy, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with SQL
- Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain or logistics
