Applications ranging from Client / Server applications to Web apps for a Network Access Control solution, Cloud software integration, and 3rd party devices and software applications. Requirements: 5-7+ years of experience managing engineering datacenter labs, supporting both software and hardware development teams. Extensive experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Microsoft HyperV, Nutanix AHV, KVM, VMware) and network architecture (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Brocade). Proficiency in these areas is essential for success in this role. Excellent Networking / scripting capabilities (ie Java/Javascript) Solid expertise in virtualization environments Exceptional knowledge in administering server operating systems (Windows & Linux). Strong experience with VMware vRealize/Aria and other lab automation tools. Solid working experience with Jira and Confluence. Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, and other scripting languages for automation is highly preferred. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex software and network issues. Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and implement new technologies. In-depth understanding of highly available, resilient, and scalable network infrastructure and services. Proficiency in IPv4/v6 addressing schemes. Responsibilities: Responsible for network setup and management including maintenance and troubleshoot issues. Perform system setup, integration, and validation of network devices both hardware and software. Execute system maintenance of servers/workstations/network elements to support teams Provides support for the design, validation, and configuration management of lab systems. Administer user's system access and protection of information to meet security requirements. Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery planning. Manage the budgeting needs of the engineering lab space.
