Description: Achieves maximum availability of the BHS Network Based Telecommunications Voice systems through effective installation and maintenance of the equipment throughout the facilities. Assist network engineering staff in planning telecom infrastructure capacity build out and network grooming projects. Implement technology solutions along with participation as a team member in Project implementations. Compilation and analysis of Network-Based statistical data into statistical reports for capacity planning. Assist the Telecommunication Manager with vendor contracts. Ability to perform regular Network-Based Voice System Management functions. Provides technical support as needed, to assist in resolving network-Based and standalone Voice specific problems: Handsets, peripheral, hardware, software, Call routing response time problems. Ability to provide basic network administrative functions and application support on supported systems. Provide support and mentoring for the lower tier Voice-Network Engineers. Adherence to BHSF IT methodologies and standards i.e. project methodology and technology standards. Qualifications: Degrees: Bachelors. Additional Qualifications: Bachelors degree or relevant work experience. Cisco CUCM administration, ACD training, basic network knowledge. Design, installation and support experience with telecommunications equipment. Required perform routine and fault isolation of digital telecommunications equipment (Fiber optic transmission, multiplexes, digital cross-connect, and channel bank equipment). Perform routine fault isolation testing of DS1, DS3, ISDN, VOIP, and SIP trunking communications facilities, i. e. routers, concentrators, etc. Two plus years hands on experience with PBX administration, Voice Mail administration, ACD administration and navigate and troubleshoot dial peers on voice routers. Experience with carrier circuit provisioning and troubleshooting,and understanding of fiber optics. Project management experience/skills desirable. Ability to act as a project member on large scale projects and implementation of these projects. Knowledge of healthcare environment. Strong verbal/written communication skills, Documentation and inventory skills, Organizational skills and Solid analytical skills.
