Position Overview
The SSHO will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal safety and health regulations on construction sites.
They will work closely with the project team to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards and promote a safe work environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in federal construction projects and have their EM 385 1-1.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and enforce compliance with federal safety and health regulations on construction sitesConduct site inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and provide recommendations for corrective actionsDevelop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with EM 385 1-1 regulationsProvide safety training and education to project team members and subcontractorsMaintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessionsCollaborate with project management to develop and implement emergency response plansCoordinate with government agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, and VA Hospital to ensure compliance with their specific safety regulationsConduct accident investigations and provide reports with recommendations for prevention
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as SSHO on Federal ProjectsMust have USACE and VA Hospital project experienceMust have EM 385 1-1 certification
