Staff Accountant

Our client is a healthcare company. They see a Staff Accountant to remotely join their New Hyde Park, NY office.

Responsibilities Manage the multi-entity ERP close process, ensuring accurate capture and reporting of financial data Adhere to timelines and protocols, working with teams to guarantee precise data consolidation and reporting Lead the preparation and organization of detailed workpapers that support the financial close process Ensure that all supporting documents are accurate and readily accessible for audits and internal reviews Oversee daily and weekly soft closes, ensuring all accounts are balanced in preparation for the month-end close Identify and resolve discrepancies, escalating issues to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Apply an understanding of GAAP through the month-end close process, verifying financial statement compliance Supervise the team during internal reviews and audits, offering clear explanations for accounting treatments Leverage strong technical skills to navigate and manage multiple accounting platforms and systems Optimize accounting processes through the effective use of technology, supporting improvement initiatives Requirements 2+ years of accounting experience Public or private accounting background Open to industry experience Adaptable, collaborative, and analytical Excellent communication skills CPA strongly preferred Skilled in Sage Intacct preferred Job ID # 66338
