Job Description We are looking for someone to join our accounting team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing and assisting in monthly closing activities, such as journal entry preparation, reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Assist with projects to further improve accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency. Also prepare reports and perform other tasks with minimum supervision.

Work Schedule: Days - Monday to Friday
Hours - 1st shift - Starting time is flexible - 8 hour shifts with some overtime available.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Process, analyze, and distribute the daily Production Loss & Yield Reports for multiple facilities.Prepare and post journal entries, perform various forms of variance analysis.Review and post vendor invoices, process ACH and check payments, and perform other various A/P tasks.Handle mail and banking deposits as needed.Review, scan & enter the daily Farm Tickets.Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.Perform all duties with emphasis on internal customer service.Ensure all work is conducted according to company policies and procedures and all work is documented thoroughly while maintaining (supporting) internal as well as external controls to ensure safeguarding of assets and accuracy of financial information.SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide support for Period End closing process.Assist with reconciling inventory and complete account reconciliations.Perform internal audit procedures to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.Perform any and all duties assigned by Management.QUALIFICATIONS High level of proficiency in Excel including pivot table knowledge is required.Excellent oral and written communication skills required to interact with a wide range of internal and external customers.Ability to define problems, identify solutions and follow through to completion.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills.Must have good time management and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines.Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.Proven experience as a Staff Accountant.Knowledge of Navision is a plus.
