Staff Accountant for a Growing FinTech Firm - Hybrid Schedule About the Organization CFS of New York is working with a growing FinTech company that is a unique shop with receivables, merchant cash advances, and lenders They handle various industries such as Consumer Finance, Consumer Debt, and Retail A huge opportunity for someone to be a crucial part of their accounting team and provide efficient processes and fresh ideas to make the department run smoother They are heavily growing and hired 4 people in the department in the past year alone Competitive salary, discretionary bonus, Medical, dental, vision, 401K, and Stock options "Company encourages employees to be informed and continue to learn" "Management is receptive to ideas and feedback" Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant Assisting the Controller with month end close activities, journal entries and preparation of financial statements Staying on top of accounting practices & policies and recommending any process improvements or efficiencies needed Handling reconciliations and monitoring Accounts Receivable duties including aging Ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Controller or Director of Finance Qualifications of the Staff Accountant 2+ years of accounting experience Financial Services Experience is a plus Bachelors degree is a must Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus #CBJUL2023
