Staff Accountant About the Company and Opportunity- Staff Accountant: CFS NY is working with a global trading firm focusing on chemicals and other materials 35 years in the business and a portfolio that spans various products The organization is known for investing in their employees and promoting from within This is a hybrid position with a very stable and cooperative team They offer excellent benefits, including: health, dental, medical, 401K with a match, short term disability and life insurance, career advancement, etc Role Responsibilities - Staff Accountant: Responsible for preparing and maintaining the company's financial records and performing other accounting functions as required Prepare journal entries, monthly balance sheets, income statements, profit and loss statements and inventory reports Maintain the general ledger- coding invoices, setting up new accounts, reconciling accounts to close the monthly books, reconciling cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts Verify payments of invoices associated with AP and ensuring payments are charged to the appropriate accounts Gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual or any other audits Provide support to assistant manager and general manager as needed Preferred Qualifications - Staff Accountant: BA in Accounting or related field 2-3 years of experience in a professional setting detail oriented individual with the desire to learn Tech savvy individual- experienced in excel knowledge of an ERP system- SAP is a huge plus
