Position at STO Building Group

Staff Accountant: Position Summary:

For this position, the candidate will report to an Accounting Manager of the STO Building Group, Inc.
This position will work closely with multiple members of the finance team on both recurring responsibilities as well as nonrecurring projects in areas such as:

Financial Analysis/Monthly Close process:
Month-end close procedures and Group consolidation process.
Research, analysis, and reconciliation of balances in areas such as insurance reserves, leases, intercompany accounts, stock-based compensation, and others.
Consolidation and analysis of Monthly CFO Variance Reports Analysis of financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be addressed.
Analysis of changes from period to period and KPI reporting (Revenue, GP, G&A, etc.).
Annual audits and quarterly internal financial statement preparation.
Preparation of journal entries.
Preparation of management and Board presentations.
Annual Plan and Quarterly Reforecasts Preparation and validation of business plan and reforecast data.
Preparation and maintenance of reports for senior management.
Additional Areas Ongoing documentation, improvement, and automation of the above processes Implementation of new accounting standards Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
Experience in Accounting and Finance through one or more internships or similar programs.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
Salary Range Desired salary range $60,000- $75,000
