STAFF ACCOUNTANT ABOUT THE COMPANY CFS New York is working with a stable non-profit agency looking for an Staff Accountant to join their growing team This non-profit agency has been around for over 50 years and strives to support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness and traumatic brain injury This position would be reporting directly into the controller and joining a very collaborative team! The team here prides themselves on fundraising events, teamwork, and collaboration This role will be fully on-site in Bethpage, Long Island RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT Monthly account reconciliations; journal entries for reconciled items Maintaining the general ledger, month end closing and fix assets Maintains subsidiary ledgers as needed; reconciles to general ledger and prepares entries for adjustments. Assists in the creation and maintenance of all types of journal entries; including expense allocation entries. Compiles data to complete various reporting requirements, including preparation of monthly financial statements. Reviews and analyzes program revenue and expenses as recorded; work with other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
