Staff AccountantTacoma, WASalary: $62,400 - $72,800 per year Job Description:We are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join our client in Tacoma, WA, on a temporary basis.
This role primarily focuses on processing grants and billing municipalities and organizations.
The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation skills, a solid understanding of billing processes, and the ability to learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities: Process grant expenditures and prepare billing for municipalities and organizations. Extract information from our accounting system and compile all necessary bills and timesheets. Format documents according to existing guidelines for submission. Familiarize yourself with contracts to ensure accurate billing. If time permits, develop a formal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for future reference. Qualifications: Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail. Understanding of billing processes and general accounting principles. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to established systems. Proficient in Excel, including experience with pivot tables and navigating existing spreadsheets (no formula or macro creation required). Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
