Job Summary
We are searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to focus on a variety of responsibilities within the accounting department.
HouseWorks is a rapidly growing home healthcare company, expanding through acquisitions across the Northeast.
This position will support accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting functions and would report directly to the Accounting Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accounts receivable payment posting and tracking Accounts payable credit card transaction posting and reconciliation Admin staff travel & entertainment report creation and follow up with submissions Enter invoice credit memos and update tracker Apply or return client deposits at end of service and track inactive clients with deposits on file Weekly 401k reconciliation Deposits of checks receivable Monthly third-party collaboration fee reporting Maintain and assist with month-end reconciliation schedules Monthly sales tax reporting to state agency Complete ad hoc schedules/requests/analyses communicated by the accounting team leaders Additional responsibilities as needed or determined by supervisor based on availability Qualifications and Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and work collaboratively with all team members in the accounting department.
