Staff Accountant - Insurance

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and premiums. Prepare monthly financial statements and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance. Assist in annual audit preparations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Adhere to internal controls and company policies to safeguard company assets. Qualifications of the Staff Accountant: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
