The Talent Solutions unit of CBIZ, is assisting a downtown Manhattan CPA firm in their need to add a Staff Accountant/Senior Accountant - Tax to their growing team.
This position is Full time and on site in New York City.
General information
Successful candidate should have 2-4 years of tax and accounting experience working for a CPA firm.
Candidates must have their degree in accounting and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
The applicant should either have passed or working to complete all portions of the CPA Examination.
On site position.
(Down the road the firm would consider hybrid after the candidate proves themselves)
Required Skills
Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks or equivalent types of Accounting Software.
Experience and an understanding of ProSystem Tax software is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include the planning and preparation of various businesses (including bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, etc.)
individual and fiduciary income tax returns, preparation and analysis of fiduciary accountings, preparation of estate and gift tax returns as well as other general accounting duties.
1040, S-Corp, LLP work.
NO SEC
Like most public accounting roles with tax clients, there is a busy season
