Staff Attorney

The Staff Attorney will provide legal support for the Company on general contractual matters, business development, corporate matters and regulatory and compliance matters.
The lawyer will be a critical member of the Legal Department, providing direct support to the Company's business units and other attorneys on a wide variety of matters.


Responsibilities: Provide advice and assistance in negotiating and reviewing commercial relationships and vendor contracts.
Ensure that contracts appropriately limit arrivia's exposure, while supporting corporate objectives.
Review and support filing and maintaining all state and federal registrations timely.
Support all consumer complaints matters through various channels (AG, BBB, Consumer Protection).
Assist with tracking and monitoring global compliance requirements for the business.
Liaise as needed with other support and business functions to resolve issues.
Support day to day management of the Legal Department.
Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations General legal support for data privacy needs, such as monitoring and updating the privacy policy and keeping apprised of general privacy laws and requirements that the business is subject to.
Requirements:Member in good standing of the Arizona State Bar; At 1-3 years of experience representing business entities in either the private practice or corporate environment; Solid judgment and business acumen and understanding of business operations, particularly in determining the significance of legal matters and effectively measuring and minimizing risks; Self-motivated and efficient, able to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency and function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; Strong organizational skills in order to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously; Assuring that all processes are within compliance with all government, local, and state regulations Mature, forward-thinking and creative, with the confidence to present and advocate for the implementation of ideas; Strong verbal and written skills with ability to explain complex, challenging issues in a clear manner to all levels of the organization, including senior management; Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with customers and other business partners; Organized, detailed-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment; Ability to maintain high level of integrity of confidential and sensitive information and credibility within the organization; Experience with the travel industry a plus; Local candidates only.
