This role may be hired remotely. Staff Cybersecurity Architect will improve the security posture of Abbott Cardiac Rhythm Management products and product development infrastructure, through threat modeling, cybersecurity design and implementation, risk assessment and process improvement activities. Performs complex and specialized cybersecurity activities working within and across project teams, and in consultation with other cross functional team members.WHAT YOU'LL DODemonstrates expert knowledge and proficiency in the complete cybersecurity development process; leads and is accountable for the software architecture and interfaces for all features of a subsystem.Defines cybersecurity design architecture for a subsystem, identifying features, components and their internal and external interactions.Defines detailed threat models based on system architectures and assesses risk to patient safety and privacy and Abbott businessDefines cybersecurity risks for third party software component/integration strategy including assessment of cryptographyDefines cybersecurity design patterns, coding styles, SAST and DAST strategies for software development environment, unit testing environment, integration testing environment and performance testing environment for all features in a subsystem.Defines the future state roadmap of CI/CD, third party component management, and cybersecurity design for a subsystem.Defines system wide architecture for CI/CD, deployment, networking, and security.Collaborates in the architecture definition for test automation, hardware and external interface simulation.Defines system wide hardware and external interface simulation architecture.Provides overall technical leadership support in use case analysis, feature definition, user needs and functional and non-functional requirements.Defines comprehensive security design architecture for a subsystem.Author's architecture description document, and high-level design documents.This is a non-supervisory position.Required QualificationsBachelors Degree Software Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering field or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceMinimum 10 years:Security design for cloud and/or mobile and/or embedded systems/IOT with strong knowledge of cryptographic primitivesExperience in health care, aerospace, defense (DoD, NSA etc.) or other regulated sectors (Optional)PreferredCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)As an alternative to CISSP, other professional security certification such as CISM, CSA, CEH or similar.Apply Now* Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
